Lindsey Dean is a Bates Group Managing Consultant for the Regulatory and Internal Investigations practice. With more almost 20 years of professional accounting experience, Ms. Dean has specialized for more than a dozen years in providing forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. She has significant experience in accounting and financial consulting services as they relate to litigation and dispute resolution for companies, government entities, and law firms.
Ms. Dean uses a blend of advanced data analytics and forensic accounting training to create easy-to-understand presentations of complex financial issues. Her visuals can be adapted to any audience to give the appropriate level of detail and summary of the issues at hand. Ms. Dean’s engagement experience includes asset tracing, interpretation of accounting standards and industry-specific authoritative literature, financial statement analysis, auditor malpractice examinations, and complex liability and damages analyses for a variety of industries, specializing in financial institutions.
Ms. Dean has provided an expert report and deposition testimony quantifying damages in a putative class action case involving alleged improper bail bonds fees and implicit interest charges.
Prior to joining Bates, Ms. Dean practiced as a forensic accountant and litigation consultant for Veris Consulting in Reston, VA and Credibility International in Washington, D.C. She also served as an external auditor focused on the financial services industry with Ernst & Young in Philadelphia, PA.
